My friend
Kevin saw the portrait I did of
Mike Costa and became consumed with envy. He wanted one of himself that captured his "roguish charm and zeal for life." But it was hard enough just to get it to look remotely like him... the best I could manage was an expression of deep self-satisfaction. I may not have done his roguish charm justice, but it's there in real life.

Anyway, I don't work for free, so in the mercenary spirit I made Kevin write a
Big Trouble in Little China fanfic in exchange for his picture. I gave him an hour to write it. I just thought it would be funny to see a professional writer struggle with a stupid task, but joke's on me, because his story is actually VERY entertaining. You can read it

If the whole comic book thing doesn't work out you could do portraits at fairs and stuff, although I'm not sure how wise it would be to charge in Big Trouble in Little China fanfics.
If the comic book thing doesn't work out I'm boned.
